About HBC
Highland Baptist Church is located in Shelbyville KY which provides the comfort of a smaller community with reasonable access to Louisville and Lexington. The purpose of this congregation is to give visible evidence to that faith and fellowship to which God has called His people. We acknowledge ourselves to be a local manifestation of the Church by which Jesus continues to minister to the world through the Holy Spirit. We shall seek to fulfill this calling through corporate worship, a program of Christian nurture, the proclamation of the Gospel by word and deed, and ministering to human needs in the name of Christ.

This church is subject to the control of no other ecclesiastical body. This church is to carry out the total ministry for which Christ has made His church responsible. We shall voluntarily cooperate with and be a member of the Shelby Baptist Association, the Kentucky Baptist State Convention, the Southern Baptist Convention and cooperate with the Baptist World Alliance.
